Individualized Bodybuilding & Physique Competition Coaching with IFBB Pro Michelle Bogden
Competition prep is more than following a diet and adding cardio.
It's about building the right plan for your physique, your division, your timeline, and your goals—and knowing when that plan needs to change.
Whether you're preparing for your first competition or working toward the next level of your competitive career, Premier Fitness provides individualized coaching from the beginning of prep through show day and beyond.
Competition suit included for eligible female competition-prep clients.
[APPLY FOR COMPETITION PREP]
Every athlete is different.
Your starting condition, muscularity, training history, division, lifestyle, previous competition experience and show timeline all influence how your prep should be structured.
That's why I don't believe in putting every competitor through the same 12-, 16-, or 20-week formula.
The goal isn't simply to get you on stage.
Your preparation is built around you, your physique and your competition goals.
Depending on your needs and stage of preparation, coaching may include:
• Individualized contest-prep nutrition
• Customized resistance-training programming
• Cardio programming and adjustments
• Weekly physique assessments
• Progress-photo evaluation
• Weight and conditioning monitoring
• Nutrition adjustments throughout prep
• Training adjustments throughout prep
• Division-specific physique development
• Show timeline planning
• Posing guidance and assessment
• Peak-week planning
• Show-week adjustments
• Increased communication as your show approaches
• Post-show transition guidance
Preparing for the stage is about more than getting lean enough.
Your presentation matters.
As the owner and designer behind Maximus Posing Suits, I understand how suit color, cut, crystal design and overall presentation can complement an athlete's physique on stage.
That's why eligible female athletes who complete their competition prep with Premier Fitness receive a custom Maximus Posing Suit included with their coaching.
We'll work together on a design that complements your physique, division, coloring and personality so your presentation feels like you when you walk onto the stage.
One less thing to worry about during prep—and one more part of your presentation we can plan together.
Suit inclusion and design options are subject to coaching duration, show timeline, availability and agreed competition-prep terms.
You don't need to know everything before you start.
That's what coaching is for.
We'll evaluate your current physique, desired division, muscular development, conditioning, training and nutrition history, lifestyle, schedule and proposed competition date.
From there, we'll determine the best path forward.
Sometimes that means beginning competition prep.
Sometimes the better decision is spending additional time developing your physique before starting a contest diet.
I want you to walk onto that stage knowing you prepared to bring the best physique possible.
Every competition gives us information.
What worked? What didn't? Where did you need more development? Was your conditioning where it needed to be? How well did you maintain muscle and training performance? How did your body respond during peak week? How could your posing and presentation improve?
We'll use that information along with your current physique to build your next strategy.
Some of the most important work we do happens long before show day.
Your improvement season gives us the opportunity to build the physique we're eventually going to reveal.
Depending on your division and individual physique, we may focus on overall muscularity, shape and symmetry, shoulders, back, glutes and hamstrings, quads, proportion, balance and other division-specific areas of improvement.
If you're serious about competing, you don't have to wait until you're ready to diet before hiring a coach.
[APPLY FOR COMPETITION COACHING]
There is no universal competition-prep length.
Starting early gives us options. Starting late takes those options away.
When you apply, we'll look at your current physique and proposed show date. If I don't believe there's enough time to appropriately prepare for that show, I'll tell you.
Choosing a later competition isn't failure.
Sometimes it's the smartest decision you can make for your physique.
Throughout prep, we'll regularly assess what's actually happening with your body.
We'll evaluate factors such as progress photos, body-weight trends, conditioning, muscular fullness, training performance, cardio response, energy, recovery, hunger, nutrition adherence, posing and overall readiness compared with your show timeline.
Then I determine what needs to happen next.
Good coaching isn't about constantly changing the plan.
It's about making the right change at the right time.
The goal of contest-prep nutrition isn't to see how little food you can survive on.
It's to achieve the conditioning your division requires while preserving as much muscle, performance and recovery as possible.
Your nutrition strategy may utilize structured meal plans, macronutrient targets, meal timing, strategic carbohydrate adjustments, higher-intake days when appropriate and individualized show-week nutrition.
We make decisions based on your progress—not simply because another week disappeared from the calendar.
Your workouts aren't simply another way to burn calories.
Training provides the stimulus your body needs to maintain the muscle you've worked hard to build.
Your program is developed according to your physique, division, strengths and weaknesses, recovery, training experience and stage of preparation.
As prep progresses, we'll adjust training when necessary while continuing to prioritize muscle retention, performance and physique development.
You have to know how to present it.
Posing should become part of your preparation—not something you start practicing the week before your show.
Depending on your division and experience, posing guidance may include mandatory poses, quarter turns, positioning, transitions, presentation, stage confidence and routine guidance when applicable.
We'll use progress photos and posing assessments throughout preparation to help you learn how to present your individual physique effectively.
There is no seven-day trick that replaces months of preparation.
The goal is to bring the physique we've spent months developing and preparing to the stage in its best possible presentation.
Peak-week decisions are individualized according to your condition and response.
There is no one-size-fits-all peak-week protocol.
By the time show day arrives, the major work has already been done.
You'll know your plan.
You'll know your poses.
You'll have a suit designed to complement the physique you're bringing.
And you'll know exactly what we've worked toward.
Then it's time to step on stage and show the work.
The post-show period matters.
We'll develop a strategy for transitioning out of contest preparation, adjusting cardio and nutrition, returning to productive training and beginning your next phase.
For competitors who want to continue competing, this is also when we begin asking:
What did we learn?
What needs improvement?
What's next?
Your competition is one day.
I understand competition prep from both sides of the check-in.
I'm your coach—but I'm also a competitive athlete.
I've experienced improvement seasons, long preps, changing nutrition, cardio, posing practice, fatigue, peak weeks, victories, disappointments and the discipline required to continue showing up when motivation is gone.
That experience influences the way I coach.
It also means I understand that what happens on stage matters. Your conditioning, muscularity, posing, suit and overall presentation have to come together.
But there's something even more important:
Your body is different.
Your strengths are different.
Your weaknesses are different.
Your schedule is different.
Your goals are different.
I don't want to turn you into a copy of another athlete.
Competition coaching is individualized based on your current physique, division, goals, competition timeline and level of support required.
